Assistant Professor at the Center for Transport Studies, Department of Civil Engineering, University of Twente. From 2012-2015 I was a Research Associate and from 2015-2018 a Research Scientist at the Intelligent Transportation Systems group of NEC Laboratories Europe. My research interests include public transport modelling, logistics and operations research, traffic control and travel demand prediction. I have been involved in several multi-national projects including FP7, JPI and H2020 IAs/RIAs. I am the Review Coordinator of the Transit Management and Performance (AP010) committee at TRB and served the Chartered Institute of Highways and Transportation as an Overseas Champion (from 2014-2017).
