Collaborations

The Car­pen­tries - 4TU.ResearchData start­ed col­lab­o­rat­ing with The Car­pen­tries in 2018 to deliv­er Soft­ware Car­pen­try work­shops for researchers from part­ner uni­ver­si­ties of 4TU.ResearchData. In addi­tion to Soft­ware Car­pen­try work­shops, we col­lab­o­rate with researchers to devel­op and deliv­er dis­ci­pline-spe­cif­ic data car­pen­try work­shops.

The TDCC NES - The The­mat­ic Dig­i­tal Com­pe­tence Cen­tre for Nat­ur­al and Engi­neer­ing Sci­ences is strength­en­ing the net­work­ing and col­lab­o­ra­tion for FAIR data, soft­ware and com­pu­ta­tion with­in the domain of Nat­ur­al and Engi­neer­ing Sci­ences. 4TU.ResearchData is insti­tu­tion­al mem­ber and host organ­i­sa­tion of the TDCC NES.

Research Data Nether­lands (RDNL) — RDNL is a part­ner­ship between 4TU.ResearchData, Data Archiv­ing and Net­worked Ser­vices (DANS), Health-RI and SURF. RDNL pro­motes FAIR research data by offer­ing train­ing and exper­tise for data sup­port.

Dat­aCite — Dat­aCite is a lead­ing glob­al non-prof­it organ­i­sa­tion that pro­vides per­sis­tent iden­ti­fiers (DOIs) for research data. The goal is to help the research com­mu­ni­ty locate, iden­ti­fy, and cite research data with con­fi­dence. 4TU.ResearchData is Direct Mem­ber of Dat­aCite and is col­lab­o­rat­ing with Dat­aCite by assign­ing Dig­i­tal Object Iden­ti­fiers (DOIs) to datasets.

Research Data Alliance (RDA) — The Research Data Alliance builds the social and tech­ni­cal bridges that enable open shar­ing of data through work­ing groups and inter­est groups, formed of experts from around the world. 4TU.ResearchData is orga­ni­za­tion­al mem­ber of the RDA and involved in many ini­tia­tives.

World Data Sys­tem (WDS) is an inter­na­tion­al con­sor­tium of repos­i­to­ries and data cen­tres. WDS pro­motes the access to and long-term man­age­ment of sci­en­tif­ic data, data ser­vices, prod­ucts and infor­ma­tion. 4TU.ResearchData is Reg­u­lar Mem­ber of WDS.

Open Sci­ence NL is the nation­al pro­gramme that aims to pro­mote and accel­er­ate the tran­si­tion to open sci­ence in the Nether­lands. It does so through ded­i­cat­ed fund­ing, empow­er­ing com­mu­ni­ties and by sup­port­ing capac­i­ty build­ing and infra­struc­ture. 4TU.ResearchData is part­ner organ­i­sa­tion of Open Sci­ence NL.

4TU.ResearchData is stake­hold­er mem­ber of the Nether­lands Repro­ducibil­i­ty Net­work (NLRN). The NLRN is a net­work of insti­tu­tions and oth­er stake­hold­ers with a com­mon goal to increase the qual­i­ty and effi­cien­cy of research in the Nether­lands by coor­di­nat­ing, sup­port­ing and strength­en­ing ini­tia­tives on repro­ducibil­i­ty and trans­paren­cy in all dis­ci­plines.

IGSN e.V. is a non-prof­it organ­i­sa­tion, with the objec­tive to imple­ment and pro­mote stan­dard meth­ods for unique­ly iden­ti­fy­ing, locat­ing, and cit­ing phys­i­cal sam­ples with con­fi­dence.

4TU.ResearchData is mem­ber of IGSN e.V. to sup­port their work on pro­mot­ing the use of Inter­na­tion­al Gener­ic Sam­ple Num­bers (IGSNs) in research.
