Software Carpentry Online Workshop | University of Twente | 16–19 May 2022

Always want­ed to know more about Python, Git ver­sion­ing con­trol, Shell script­ing and their appli­ca­tion in your research? A Soft­ware Car­pen­try work­shop organ­ised by 4TU.ResearchData in col­lab­o­ra­tion with the Uni­ver­si­ty of Twente Dig­i­tal Com­pe­tence Cen­ter and The Car­pen­tries will be held online on 16 — 19 May for researchers from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Twente.

A Soft­ware Car­pen­try work­shop is a hands-on train­ing that cov­ers the core skills need­ed to work repro­ducibly with code. The work­shop cov­ers task automa­tion with Unix shell, ver­sion con­trol with Git, basic con­cepts of data man­age­ment and an intro­duc­tion to Python pro­gram­ming.

This is an intro­duc­to­ry course aimed at researchers who have lit­tle to no pri­or pro­gram­ming expe­ri­ence.

This work­shop is open to all researchers asso­ci­at­ed with the Uni­ver­si­ty of Twente.
