New GDPR 4 Data Support course March–April 2026

The GDPR 4 Data Sup­port (GDPR4DS) course is an intro­duc­to­ry pro­gramme designed for data sup­port­ers who want to deep­en their knowl­edge of the Gen­er­al Data Pro­tec­tion Reg­u­la­tion (GDPR) in the con­text of sci­en­tif­ic research, and who wish to fur­ther devel­op their role in pro­tect­ing per­son­al data.

This course strength­ens the inter­me­di­ary role of data sup­port­ers by increas­ing GDPR aware­ness, expand­ing knowl­edge, and facil­i­tat­ing com­mu­ni­ca­tion on GDPR-relat­ed top­ics between researchers on the one hand and pri­va­cy offi­cers on the oth­er.

Course structure

• The course con­sists of two in-per­son days, with a break of approx­i­mate­ly four to five weeks between the ses­sions. These days are led by two RDNL coach­es.
• Between the two on-site days, you will have the oppor­tu­ni­ty to study the course mate­ri­als in the online learn­ing envi­ron­ment and work on assign­ments.

Course dates and location

The upcom­ing course will be taught in Dutch and will take place on the fol­low­ing dates:

• Day 1: Thurs­day 19 March 2026 (TU Library, Blue Room, Prometheusplein 1, 2628 ZC Delft)
• Day 2: Tues­day 21 April 2026 (DANS, Anna van Sak­sen­laan 51, 2593 HW The Hague)

Fees and registration

The fee for the GDPR 4 Data Sup­port course is €895, exclud­ing VAT.

Cancellation / No-show

If you are unable to attend the course, please inform us as soon as pos­si­ble via cursus@researchdata.nl. This allows us to offer your place to some­one else.

Can­cel­la­tions made up to 7 days before the first course day (the date of the first group ses­sion) are free of charge. For can­cel­la­tions received after this dead­line, we are unfor­tu­nate­ly required to charge the full course fee.

In the case of a no-show with­out time­ly can­cel­la­tion (at least 7 days before the first course day via cursus@researchdata.nl), the full course fee will also be charged.

Certification

Par­tic­i­pants who attend both course days and com­plete all assign­ments will receive a cer­tifi­cate of par­tic­i­pa­tion.
