New Essentials 4 Data Support course: February-March 2026

The Essen­tials 4 Data Sup­port course pro­vides an intro­duc­to­ry-lev­el overview for data pro­fes­sion­als and those who assist researchers with stor­ing, man­ag­ing, archiv­ing and shar­ing their research data. 

The course com­pris­es two days of in-per­son teach­ing, com­ple­ment­ed by online learn­ing mate­ri­als and week­ly assign­ments. You will receive a cer­tifi­cate upon suc­cess­ful com­ple­tion of all course com­po­nents.  

The in-per­son teach­ing ses­sions will take place on Tues­day 10 Feb­ru­ary 2026 and Thurs­day 26 March 2026, both locat­ed at DANS in The Hague. The instruc­tors are Venkatara­man Shan­mu­ga­sun­daram and Kim Fer­gu­son (DANS’ Research Data Man­age­ment Spe­cial­ists). The lan­guage of instruc­tion will be Eng­lish.

About RDNL Essentials

RDNL organ­is­es three rounds of the “Essen­tials” train­ing each year: two in Eng­lish and one in Dutch. A train­ing round typ­i­cal­ly spans approx­i­mate­ly six weeks.
