4TU.ResearchData Roadshow: TU Delft – Mechanical Engineering
Location: TU Delft, Mechanical Engineering Faculty
Date: May 14, 2025
Time: 10:45 – 14:45
Join Us at TU Delft Mechanical Engineering on May 14!
We’re excited to visit the Mechanical Engineering (ME) Faculty at TU Delft for a hands-on event about FAIR data and software publishing with 4TU.ResearchData. Whether you’re new to FAIR principles or looking to automate your data and software workflows, this session will provide valuable insights and practical skills. Free lunch included!
Programme:
10:45 – 11:30 | Welcome & Introduction to FAIR
Learn how FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) can help improve the visibility and impact of your research.
TDCC-NES – funding opportunities in Natural and Engineering Sciences
Learn about funding opportunities in your field with the Thematic Digital Competence Center.
11:30 – 11:45 | Break
11:45 – 12:30 | 4TU.ResearchData & Bring Your Own Code/Data
Discover how 4TU.ResearchData supports data and software publishing. Bring your own datasets or code and explore ways to make them more reusable.
If you you don’t have your own data to publish yet – don’t worry – we will provide an example you can work with in the sandbox environment!
12:30 – 13:15 | Lunch
13:15 – 14:45 | API & Automation Workshop
Get a general introduction to APIs, learn how they can be used in research data management lifecycle. We’ll also cover how to reuse and download datasets via API and automate the publishing and updating of data and software.
If you want to actively participate in the hands-on part of the API workshop, you should have installed Shell and/or Python.
Join us for one or multiple sessions! You’re welcome to attend any of the parts that interest you.
We look forward to seeing you there!
