4TU.ResearchData is a research infra­struc­ture, com­mu­ni­ty and train­ing provider whose mis­sion is to enable researchers from sci­ence, engi­neer­ing and design dis­ci­plines to make a glob­al impact with research data and soft­ware. A key nation­al col­lab­o­ra­tion for 4TU.ResearchData relat­ed to train­ing is Research Data Nether­lands (RDNL), togeth­er with DANS, SURF and Health-RI. Through this coali­tion we work togeth­er to increase the skills and capac­i­ty of data pro­fes­sion­als, such as data stew­ards, across the Nether­lands.

As Train­ing Coor­di­na­tor (Research Data Nether­lands) at 4TU.ResearchData you will lead our con­tri­bu­tion to a project with RDNL to devel­op a nation­al train­ing and com­mu­ni­ty plat­form for data pro­fes­sion­als. You will work close­ly with col­leagues from 4TU.ResearchData, RDNL part­ner organ­i­sa­tions and oth­er stake­hold­ers to devel­op and deliv­er a train­ing cur­ricu­lum for data pro­fes­sion­als, deliv­er the nation­al plat­form as a point of con­tact for those seek­ing train­ing and resources, and help to cre­ate gov­er­nance and sus­tain­abil­i­ty mod­els for the plat­form. The project is fund­ed by Open Sci­ence NL (part of NWO), the nation­al pro­gramme that aims to pro­mote and accel­er­ate the tran­si­tion to open sci­ence in the Nether­lands.

Your tasks and respon­si­bil­i­ties:

  • Con­tribute to the devel­op­ment of a train­ing cur­ricu­lum for data pro­fes­sion­als, and for aspir­ing train­ers (train the train­er), build­ing on exist­ing RDNL train­ing and nation­al and inter­na­tion­al devel­op­ments in the field, and imple­ment­ing ped­a­gog­i­cal best prac­tices;
  • Con­tribute to the deliv­ery of train­ing for data pro­fes­sion­als;
  • Con­tribute to the deliv­ery of a nation­al plat­form (web­site) for those seek­ing train­ing and resources;
  • Con­tribute to tasks relat­ed to plat­form gov­er­nance and sus­tain­abil­i­ty;
  • Liaise and col­lab­o­rate with RDNL part­ners and oth­er stake­hold­ers to ful­fil project tasks/milestones and com­plete rel­e­vant deliv­er­ables;
  • Sup­port oth­er col­leagues with­in and out­side the 4TU.ResearchData team, as appro­pri­ate and rel­e­vant.

About RDNL: Research Data Nether­lands (RDNL) is a nation­al coali­tion of data ser­vice providers and exper­tise net­works whose mis­sion is to pro­mote imple­men­ta­tion and long-term sus­tain­abil­i­ty of FAIR research data in the Nether­lands.
