4TU.ResearchData welcomes Wageningen University & Research as its new member

4TU.ResearchData and Wageningen University & Research (WUR) are proud to announce that WUR joined 4TU.ResearchData as a bronze member on 1 January 2022.

Researchers at WUR can now ben­e­fit from an extend­ed offer of  4TU.ResearchData ser­vices. This includes pub­lish­ing 5GB of research data (per researcher, per year) for free and access to com­mu­ni­ty, tech­ni­cal and con­sul­tan­cy sup­port. 

Our researchers have been using 4TU.ResearchData and we have been in dis­cus­sion with 4TU.ResearchData about join­ing forces for a while, so I am very pleased that we have for­malised this rela­tion­ship and that WUR can offer strate­gic sup­port to 4TU.ResearchData.

With inno­v­a­tive and high­ly social­ly rel­e­vant exper­tise in the domains of sus­tain­able and healthy food sys­tems and liv­ing envi­ron­ment for humans and ani­mals, WUR’s mem­ber­ship fur­ther strength­ens shared efforts by our mem­ber insti­tutes to pro­vide tai­lored research sup­port ser­vices to a range of research dis­ci­plines from the tech­ni­cal, engi­neer­ing, design and inter­dis­ci­pli­nary sci­ences.

I am real­ly pleased to wel­come WUR as a new mem­ber of 4TU.ResearchData. Col­lab­o­ra­tion makes us stronger and more resilient, and 4TU.ResearchData becomes rich­er with the dis­ci­pli­nary exper­tise of WUR, espe­cial­ly in agri­cul­ture, ani­mal and plant sci­ences.

As a 4TU.Federation insti­tute, 4TU.ResearchData aligns with the Federation’s aim of com­bin­ing forces to con­tribute to address­ing press­ing soci­etal chal­lenges through pro­vid­ing pro­fes­sion­al research data man­age­ment sup­port for inter­na­tion­al­ly-renowned and soci­etal­ly-rel­e­vant research and inno­va­tion in the tech­ni­cal and exact sci­ences.

The 4TU.Federation is the alliance of the four uni­ver­si­ties of tech­nol­o­gy in the Nether­lands aim­ing to boost and pool tech­ni­cal exper­tise. It is won­der­ful to see that all four mem­bers of the 4TU.Federation are now also col­lab­o­rat­ing on 4TU.ResearchData.
