Dr. Andrews has a background in astrophysical research. She did her bachelor’s degree in Astronomy at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She also obtained a MSc in Astrophysics at the same university, investigating the gas around clusters of galaxies. This study was done in collaboration with researchers from Universidad de Chile. She then did a PhD in Astrophysics at Sterrewacht Leiden, where she investigated the formation and evolution of organic molecules in the interstellar medium. Such research was carried out in close collaboration with researchers from NASA Ames Research Center and the University of Western Ontario. Since the ending of her PhD, Dr. Andrews has acquired experience as Data Scientist for Kudaw S. A. Chile, and she is currently working as the Data Steward of the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering of the Technische Universiteit Delft.
