Involved in the production of large datasets by means of numerical simulations of fluid flows with high-performance computing • Accordingly interested in and experimenting with the principles, generalities and best practices in Research Data Management • Likewise, honing and promoting related digital literacy and competence as certified Carpentries instructor
In my career I worked with four strands of activities:
Consultancy • computer simulations, desk studies, interpretation of observational data • topics: currents, tidal streams, storm surges, river flows, strongly stratified estuaries, thermal discharges, saline intrusion in locks, fishways flows, underwater sound, wave-structure interaction
Marketing • promoting small and multinational companies • organizing and participating in business trips to perspective partners and clients abroad • lining-up of international bidding teams for tenders worth €500k+
Outreach • short courses, lectures • training, coaching and tutorials for (post)graduate students • oral and poster presentations at conferences • lecture notes • MSc students supervision • organisation of research and stakeholders meetings
