  • When to stop and when to skip: Pub­lic trans­port mod­el­ling dur­ing COVID-19

Uni­ver­si­ty of Twente Pro­fes­sor, Kostas Gkiot­sali­tis, shares his soft­ware mod­els for mod­i­fy­ing the pub­lic trans­port demand dur­ing the Covid-19 pan­dem­ic.

Read more about how Kostas’s mod­els are used by pub­lic trans­port ser­vice providers to improve crowd­ing lev­els inside vehi­cles and mit­i­gate the spread of the virus.

Ear­li­er this month The Uni­ver­si­ty of Twente deliv­ered their first Soft­ware Car­pen­try Work­shop in col­lab­o­ra­tion with 4TU.ResearchData.

We’re thrilled to announce it was a real suc­cess!

VIRTUAL CHARITY BIKE RACE: A GAMES NIGHT FOR DUCHENNE HEROES 

In Sep­tem­ber, Data Stew­ard, Simone Fricke, and PhD researcher, Michelle van Mier­lo, will par­tic­i­pate in ‘Duchenne Heroes’, a 7‑day >500km moun­tain bike tour from France to the Nether­lands to raise mon­ey for chil­dren with Duchenne. 

We’ve organ­ised a vir­tu­al games night to raise mon­ey to sup­port Simone and Michelle. You are wel­come to join us on Thurs­day 1st July from 19.00–21.00Reg­is­ter now
