Regieorgaan Open Science NL officially launched

To further accelerate the transition to open science in the Netherlands, “Regieorgaan Open Science” was launched this March 2023.

Representatives of 15 knowledge institutions – including 4TU.ResearchData – and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science signed the covenant to this end during a meeting at TU Delft, which was entirely dedicated to open science.

With the signing of the covenant, the newly established team is now a fact. The goal of Open Science NL is to further accelerate the transition to open science in the Netherlands. Open Science NL will be organizationally part of NWO, but will have broad-based governance. All key parties working together in the field on this topic will give their perspective.

In total, the covenant was signed by the open science partners NWO, UNL, NFU, VH, SURF, KNAW, NWO-I, ZonMw, UKB, KB, DANS, Netherlands eScience Center, 4TUResearchData, Health-RI and SHB, as well as by the Ministry of OCW.
