Data Horror Week: Get involved!

In October, several Dutch universities organize the Data Horror Week.  Halloween is a good time to enjoy horror stories, Data Conversations and an online Escape Room. Take part, discover the data horrors, and chase the skeletons out of your server, and the monsters from under your desk.

The Open Science Escape Room will be played online on Monday, 25th October, 15:30-17:00. Use Open Science to escape an evil universe! You can register as a team or as an individual. No prior knowledge required.

The first ever HYBRID data conversation, ‘Improving science through openness: revealing hidden secrets‘ will take place on Thursday, 28th October 2021, 15:00 – 16:00 for the main event, followed by networking (and borrel)

Projectors in VU Amsterdam and Leiden University Libraries will bring all participants together during the main event for a combined experience – whether you’re online or physically present. Gowri Gopalakrishna and Eiko Fried will discuss integrity and transparency in research. For those who attend the event in person, the main event will be followed by a networking event with drinks. For online attendees, the networking will take the form of a moderated discussion.
