4TU.ResearchData repository, Leiden University Libraries – Centre for Digital Scholarship and TU Delft Data Stewards are pleased to invite researchers from TU Delft and Leiden University to the “Data Carpentry workshop for Social Sciences” in an online version.

A Data Carpentry workshop aims to teach researchers basic concepts, skills, and tools for working with data so that they can get more done in less time, and with less pain.

This workshop features, among other topics, data management and analysis for social science research, best practices for data organization in spreadsheets, reproducible data cleaning with OpenRefine and an introduction to data analysis and visualization in R.

This is an introductory course, so you don’t need to have any previous knowledge of the tools that will be presented at the workshop.

During the day we will alternate between tutorials and practical exercises to ensure participants get the most out of this training.
